Young soccer players from around the Mother Lode had the chance this week to learn from the Sonora High School girls soccer team and coaches.

Sixty young people in under-8, 10, 12 and 14 took part in this year’s Sonora High School Soccer Camp held at Dunlavey Field.

During the four-day camp players learned how to improve their attacking and defense as well as goalkeeping tactics.

Members of the Wildcat soccer team were on hand each day to volunteer their time alongside coach Kurt Wolken.
