Tioga High School varsity girls basketball team added another decisive win to their season, beating Don Pedro Thursday night, 61-23.

Ada Pollock had her best game of the season in points with 25, said coach Jesse Bertram.

Pollock also had six steals, three rebounds and only one turnover, Bertram said.

Raeanna Bertram had another strong showing offensively with 17 points. She went five of 11 from three-point range.

Bertram also had four steals, three assists, and three rebounds.

Bertram is leading the Mountain Valley League in three-pointers.

According to high school sports statistics site Maxpreps, she’s in a three-way tie at No. 6 in California for three-pointers made.

Halei Belvail had eight rebounds and Summer Avery had six.

Monika Medina had five rebounds, three assists, and four steals.

The win moves the team to 2-0 in league play.

The Timberwolves next play at home on Friday, Jan. 12 against Turlock Christian at 5 p.m.

Tioga boys basketball

The boys varsity basketball also beat Don Pedro, 75-34.

Senior Colten Lessley had 22 points, seven rebounds and five steals.

Senior Cole Seal added 19 points and nine rebounds.

Junior Riley Amos had 12 points, four rebounds, three steals and a blocked shot.

The win gives them a 2-0 league record.

The boys varsity team is on the road until they play a league game against Humphreys Able Charter at 5 p.m. Jan. 16 at home.
