Sonora High School’s varsity boys cross country took were on the road at Frogtown over the weekend for the Sac-Joaquin sub-section meet.

Their performances earned them a spot in the sections meet set for Saturday in Folsom.

Freshman Adin Dibble led the way for the Wildcats with his time of 16:45.6.

His time was good enough for a sixth palce finish overall.

Close on his heels was sophomore Clayton Franco with a 10th place overall finish and a time of 16:48.6.

Also running for the ‘Cats Saturday were senior Jacob Schader, sophomore Kyle Smith, junior Brian McGee and senior Kiernan Kostlivy.

Sophomore Adam Aldrich qualifed as an individual with his 11th place finish.

Wildcat runners setting personal bests at the Frogtown meet were: Senior Taylor Rector; sophomores Aiden McPeek, Breno Saveedra and James McGee; and freshmen John Shaw, Luis Rosas and Josh Hovatter.

Saturday’s meet will be held at Willow Hill Reservoir Community Park in Folsom
