Bret Harte was on the road against former Mother Lode League league member Linden High School.

The Bullfrogs were coming off a bye week and had a 1-3 record.

That week off would prove to be just the boost the team needed as they came out and rattled the Linden Lions with 27 first half points to Linden’s 14.

The ‘Frogs continued their offensive push in the second half, adding a touchdown in the third quarter and another in the fourth.

A late fourth quarter interception by Bret Harte gave the ‘Frogs another chance at the endzone and with minutes to go in the game, they added another score to the board.

Linden wasn’t quite done with their scoring effort, putting up another touchdown with less than two minutes to go.

But the ‘Frogs were too much for the Lions, earning the 48-28 win.
