Sixty-two Tuolumne County Aquatic swimmers finished the 2018 summer season, on August 7th at Sonora Sport and Fitness Center, setting 122 personal bests.

Bonnevie Graveline, 9, Avery Mazurkiewicz, 7, and Sawyer Meredith, 7, started the meet off with a splash. All dropped 20 seconds in their butterfly event.

Helping to churn up the water were Abigail Benton, 9, Kate Benton, 7, Isabella Bouchoucha, 13, Zach Krieg, 6, Caden McCulloch, 9, Reagan Siudzinski, 7, and Elias Wang, 11.

Continuing the record and setting personal bests in all four events included Meredith, Rova Arijaona, 13, Lucy Birtwhistle, 7, Logan Gould, 13, Jasmine Hwang, 10, Kaylee Karpus, 8, Tyler Karpus, 10, and Lauren Tangenberg 11.

Racing to three personal bests were Chase Castle, 9, Caroline Hodson, 6, Avery Johnson, 11, Jaizlee Johnson, 7, Bodhin Jones, 8, Kyler McCulloch, 12, Tanner Meredith, 8, Asher Newman, 7, Keifer Newman, 13, Olivia Nickols, 12, Kyle Smith, 15, Ellery Stewart, 12, Ali Talavera, 9, Jacob Tanngenberg, 9, and Cooper Thorn, 9.

Seventeen swimmers who set two bests were Graveline, Jemma Anderson, 10, Madelyn Benton, 5, Jacob Bowden, 15, Karson Cowden, 5, Marcus Edwards, 9, Hailey Gould, 12, Hailey Johnson, 7, Madelyn Nikiforuk, 9, Austin Paris, 10, Hannah Patton ,10, Lylah Patton, 7, Joseph Scharli, 9, Jonathan Talavera, 15, Giselle Wahlbrink, 6, Maci Wallace, 6, and Makena Wallace, 9.

Finishing the meeting with one personal best included Mazurkiewicz, Robert Asli, 13, Evan Hawks, 10, Huck Harrelson, 14, Jemma Hwang, 6, Mia McRee, 13, Robert Nikiforuk, 9, Bjorn Rider, 14, Troy Schoettgen, 11, David Talavera, 13, and Charlie Waelty, 8.

Swimming 50 yards in each event for the first time were Trent Evans, 9, Olivia Jones, 9, Jagger Macklin, 8, and Kenyon Nickols, 9.
