Sonora High School’s Jace Decker is using his senior project as a chance to raise money for the basketball program that has been a big part of his high school years.

Decker, who was named co-MVP of the Mother Lode League, spent his week coaching some of the best eighth grade ball players in the area.

In all, 17 players from Sonora, Soulsbyville, Motherlode Christian, Columbia, and Curtis Creek schools were part of his All-Star team project.

On Friday, they battlde each other in a fundraiser game with proceeds going to Sonora High’s basketball program.
