Vision Sonora

To the Editor:

I guess we’re getting it rammed down our throats whether we like it or not. The city population is about 5,000. During the day it rises to about 20,000, visitors, shoppers, tourists, etc. so traffic goes up four times normal.

The mayor and council want to close streets, already crowded, to benefit private business? Linoberg Street has been there probably 80+ years, isn’t that historic? Then close South Green Street between Stockton Road and Church Street at the expense of citizens and visitors.

Could these closures be a conflict of interest? I wonder if the city attorney has considered this. This was a great town before you people were elected, and it will be better when you and your ideas are both gone. Quit trying to write your own legacy. Leave our town alone.
