Philip Thomas “Tom” Selfridge, beloved father and grandfather, passed away at home on Sunday, April 21, 2019, in Riverbank due to complications of Parkinson’s disease at the age of 90. He was born March 4, 1929, in Alva, Oklahoma, to the Rev. Philip and Mabel Selfridge. He lived in several states before his family moved to California in 1939. Private Tom Selfridge served in the Philippines during the Korean war.
Tom is survived by his three daughters Rebecca, Wendy, and Sheri; sisters Marieta Hamann and Ramona Peter; brother-in-law Richard Little; 10 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Shirley, brother Don Selfridge, and sister Dixie Collier.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom's name to the American Stroke Association or Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research are appreciated.
