Arnold “Arnie” Enoch Overholtzer, 81, of Sonora passed away on April 8, 2019.

Arnold was born in Modesto and was a resident of Sonora for 43 years. Arnold worked as a mechanic, flew ultralite, worked on small engines and loved to ride horses.

Arnold is survived by his wife of 43 years Beverly Punter-Overholtzer; children Therese Scroggs of Sonora, Bryan Kohl of Sonora and Debianne Weed of Arkansas; his four grandchildren; Lisa Nunez of Reno, Nevada, Renee Borklund of Sonora, Rosmarie Tun of Sonora and Melissa Weed of Sonora; four great-grandchildren; siblings; Charlene Overholtzer Grenfell of Sonora, Betty June Fogerud Stinnett , and Fogderud Stinnett of Tennessee; nephew and nieces Heslie Grenfell Jr., Rick Grenfell of Colorado, Kerry Grenfell, Leslie Grenfell Jr., Trish Grenfell Aiken, Alicia Grenfell Garner of Colorado, Katalyn Greenfell of Colorado, Sarah Grenfell Story of Soulsbyville, Bethany Grenfell of Sonora, Brittany Michelle, Megan Kelstat-Grenfell of Colorado, Stephan Grenfell of Colorado, Joshua Grenfell of Sonora, and a lot of great nieces and nephews; his first cousins Peggy Grenig of Ceres, and Beverly Holman of Oakdale.

He is preceded in death by his mother Evelyn Converse Fogderud, stepfather Floyd Fogderud; brother Jerry Fogderud and Father David Overholtzer. He is with the Lord now.

Terzich and Wilson Funeral home handled arrangements. A service was held Monday.
