Lifelong Sonora resident Greg Livingston passed away unexpectedly at UC Davis hospital in Sacramento on Jan. 12, 2019. Greg was born March 15, 1983, to Bill and Diane Livingston.

Greg went to Summerville Elementary School and Summerville High School, where he enjoyed playing football. After graduating from high school he worked for the USFS firefighting with an engine crew, and he was able to work with the Stanislaus Hotshot crew, which he loved. He referred to them as his extended family. He also worked as a Kojan operator in the lumber industry. Greg loved sports and the outdoors. He would go hunting with his dad, and from an early age would look forward to summer when he could to go to work with him in the woods.

Greg is survived by his parents, Bill and Diane Livingston; sister, Kim Hurley (Jason); nieces and nephews, Austin Hurley (Karley) and Alexis Hurley, of Carlsbad; sister, Jodie Bennett (Curt), nieces and nephews, Makenna Hembree, Ethan Hembree, Cody Bennett, and Kaiya Bennett, of Omaha, Nebraska, and Cody Hembree, of Bakersfield; grandmother, Marge Miller, of Winston, Oregon, as well as numerous aunts and uncles, and his beloved canine friend, Riley.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. March 16, 2019, at the Willow Springs Clubhouse, 20522 Willow Springs Drive, Soulsbyville, CA 95372.
