It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret M. “Marge” Lydick announces her passing on June 7, 2018, at the age of 94 years. Marge was born in Hadley, Massachusetts, on May 12, 1924, to Maurice and Evelyn McKelligott. A loving mother and homemaker Marge will be fondly remembered by her family and many friends. She was a resident of Tuolumne County for the past 48 years previously living in Modesto, Redding and the Los Angeles area. She was very active in community activities having been a charter member for the Sonora Women of the Moose, an auxiliary volunteer for the now closed Tuolumne General Hospital and late in life a volunteer for the Humane Society of Tuolumne County.
She is survived by her three children, son, David Lydick and wife Julie of Petaluma, daughter, Eileen MacDonald and husband Jay, of Sonora and daughter Susan Lydick, of Union City; and four grandchildren, Tom Lydick, of San Jose, Chris, Dan and Kevin MacDonald, of Modesto; and nine nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her loving husband, Don, of 47 years in 1998; a son, Tom Lydick, in 1981; and brothers, Maurice, Robert, Edward and Raymond McKelligott.
The family wishes to thank all of the people who cared for her during her last days and a celebration of life will follow at a later date.
