Eva Lee Cannon passed away peacefully at home on Jan. 6, 2018, after a long illness.
Eva was a graduate of Sonora High School’s class of 1948. She and Bobby moved to Soulsbyville in 1972 and spent many happy years in Willow Springs before relocating to Porterville because of her husband’s job transfer. They longed to return to the Sonora area and, upon retirement, they returned to the area and settled long term in Twain Harte, which they loved. They spent the majority of their golden years traveling the U.S. several times over in their motorhome. Among her hobbies were sewing, cooking and crafts.
Eva was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bobby; and son, Stephen Patrick.
She is survived by her three children, Larry Mann, of Sequim, Washington, Kelly Weberling, of Clayton, California and Shelly Cannon, of Gilroy, California; her brother, Lee Tate, of Annapolis, California; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
She was a devoted and loving mother, aunt, sister, friend and grandmother, and she will be greatly missed.
She will be laid to rest at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018, at Mountain Shadow cemetery in Sonora.
