Robert C. DeCristoferi passed away Dec. 29, 2017, at Adventist Health in Sonora. Robert was born Jan. 12, 1938, in Redwood City, California.

Robert was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he loved cooking, gardening and family get togethers. He worked at Curtis Creek and Sullivan Creek schools for 20 years. He enjoyed going to 49er games and Hot August Nights in Reno. Robert was a member of the Elks and Moose lodges; a supporter of Wounded Warriors and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Nick; and sisters, Kathryn and Gloria.

Robert is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carmen DeCristoferi; his children, Robert J. DeCristoferi, Dayna DeCristoferi and Anthony DeCristoferi; grandchild, Grace Tamsin Chidester; and 24 loving nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Jan. 20, 2018, at the Sonora Moose Lodge.
