Robert “Bob” T. Hansen passed away peacefully at his home in Twain Harte on Nov. 14, 2017. Bob was born in Stockton and raised in Tracy. He served in the Navy from 1956-1959, where he was an electrician aboard the carrier USS Hancock CVA 19. In 1959, he married the love of his life, Carol. Bob went to work for his parents at their grocery store, The Westside Market in Tracy, until he joined the California Highway Patrol in 1966. During his law enforcement career, he worked in San Leandro, Tracy, Baldwin Park, Modesto and Jamestown, where he retired as a sergeant in 1995. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, riding motorcycles, and he collected cars.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Lolly Hansen.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Hansen, of Twain Harte; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Zenia Hansen, of Ceres; daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Ron Green, of Twain Harte; grandchildren, Brandon and Courtney Green, of Nevada, Missouri, and Jeremy Green, of Tuolumne; sister, Marla Woodward, of Santa Ana; aunt Ina Soma, of Tracy; and, of course, his dog Putter.
