Willard Benjamin Weger Sr., formerly Palmer, was born Feb.14, 1928, and passed Nov. 6, 2017, at the age of 89. He was born in Arcata, California, to Benjamin and Virginia. He was raised by his mother Virginia Westerfield Palmer and stepfather George Palmer in Greenville, California. He was a beloved husband, father, Papa, great papa, great, great papa, uncle, cousin and friend. Willard was a man of many words who always had an interesting story to share. He lived a full life with many adventures. He was a member of the Coast Guard, a volunteer firefighter, sheriff's officer, drove a log truck, and had two auto body shops in Sonora. He worked hard and after enjoyed traveling especially to the Arizona deserts, and Oregon coastline.

He is preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 50+ years, Shirlee Weger; his son, Dennis W. Weger; mother, Virginia Palmer; and numerous other beloved people.

Willard is survived by his son, Willard B. Weger Jr. (Karen); daughter-in-Law, Annie Weger; grandchildren, Willard T. Weger, Jennifer Bishop, Crisi Matthews, Michelle Souza, Atina Chavez, and Teresa Gonzalez; great grandchildren, Nathaniel, Hailey, Katelyn, Kaylee, Willard, Riley, Dylan, Cayte, Caleb, Christian, Austin, Teryn, Anthony, Robert, Brittani, Darrin; and a great, great granddaughter, Jordynn. Also, many other nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was loved beyond words, will be missed by many, and will live on in the hearts of those who had the pleasure to know him.
