Leonora Kinkade of Sonora, formerly of Cressey, California, passed away on Sept. 13, 2017, at the age of 80, at Alexander Cohen Hospice House, Hughson, after a brief illness.

She was born Aug. 1, 1937, in Livermore to Linda and Leonard Block. Leonora attended local schools and graduated from Denair High School. After raising her family, she earned a degree in the field of nursing, where she was employed for over 35 years until retirement.
Leonora loved gardening, cooking and entertaining. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, known for her good sense of humor and loving smile. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Linda Block; her son, Daniel Edeal; and two daughters, Kim Edeal Ladonga and Christy Edeal.

Leonora is survived by her husband, John Kinkade, of Sonora; son, David Edeal, of Apex, North Carolina; daughter-in-law, Sharon Edeal; two grandchildren, Sydney and Spencer Edeal; and her sister, Andrea (Cooki) Block, of Turlock.
A celebration of Leo’s life will be held at Sonora Hills from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22.
