PG&E

Power outages temporarily left thousands of Pacific Gas and Electric customers without power Wednesday morning, from San Andreas to Mountain Ranch.

The outages were reported about 6 a.m. Wednesday for more than 2,500 PG&E customers and restored around 8:20.

Troublemen found a dead crow on the ground, PG&E said, and no damage to the line.

They believe the bird cross phased the lines, causing the outage.

About a dozen customers were without power in San Andreas, east of West Point and in the Arnold area. A handful of customers were without power in the Cedar Ridge area northeast of Sonora.
