Tuolumne County added two additional newly reported coronavirus deaths from April and May to its total on Wednesday, in addition to one new case.
The new deaths were identified as a man in his 70s and a man in his 80s. Both reportedly had been hospitalized and died outside of the county.
A total of 69 Tuolumne County residents have died from COVID-19 since early last year, as well as 56 in Calaveras County.
Wednesday’s new case was identified as a man in his 50s who had yet to be vaccinated. He’s the 16th case since May 24, all of which have been unvaccinated people.
No vaccinated people in Tuolumne County have tested positive for the potentially deadly virus, the county Public Health Department has said.
Calaveras County had two new cases on Wednesday after reporting 10 between Saturday and Tuesday.
No additional information was provided on Calaveras County’s new cases.
