The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

THURSDAY

12:11 a.m., warrant arrests — Someone was arrested after being accused of trying to light a fire in front of propane tanks on Mono Way.

12:12 p.m., trespass/loiter — A man “came at” a person with a walking stick at a South Washington Street store after being told he needed to pay tax on an item.

6:47 p.m., theft —A person at a South Washington Street hotel said his bicycle was stolen from behind the building.

8:43 p.m., miscellaneous codes — A person started a fight inside a South Washington Street business.

9:39 p.m., public peace, fight disorderly conduct — A man who may have been paralyzed was learning how to operate his vehicle in the parking lot of a Sanguinetti Road business and went the wrong direction down an aisle, causing another driver to scream at him.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

9:07 a.m., Strawberry — A person on Wild Oats Trail said an older man yelled expletives at him and his tree work crew and also left a strange threatening message on the business’ answering machine.

12:02 p.m., Sonora — A person on Via Redonda said a man tried to take his 3-year-old son after he claimed that the son was his own.

4:25 p.m., Sonora — Four pigs ran loose on Wards Ferry Road.

7:19 p.m., Tuolumne — A person on Tuolumne Road North said a man in a white truck was punching his dog in the parking lot.

9:56 a.m., West Point — People were involved in an argument on Main Street.

1:00 p.m., Arnold — Donation boxes were broken into on Blagen Road.

3:03 p.m., Valley Springs — A case of public intoxication was reported on Highway 26.

4:20 a.m., Valley Springs — Jack Patrick Meyers, 39, of the 16000 block of Tecklenburg Road, Lodi, was booked on suspicion of vehicle theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, impersonating another person to make them liable, getting credit with another person’s ID and misdemeanor charges giving false information to a peace officer and a traffic offense following an arrest on Myrtle Street.

10:30 a.m., Wallace — Donald Garner Ward, 57, of the 9900 block of South Camanche Parkway, was booked on suspicion of criminal conspiracy, possession of marijuana for sale and misdemeanor charges cultivating marijuana following an arrest at his home.

11:15 a.m., Wallace — Katrina Ward, 55, of the 9900 block of South Camanche Parkway, was booked on suspicion of criminal conspiracy, possession of marijuana for sale and misdemeanor charges cultivating marijuana following an arrest at her home.
