The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

THURSDAY

9:17 a.m., animal complaints — A sick skunk was in a yard on Snell Street.

9:37 a.m., vehicle theft — A person on Sanguinetti Road allowed someone to borrow their vehicle the previous night and they didn’t return it.

10:42 a.m., graffiti — Graffiti was found on the side of a storage unit off South Shepherd Street and there was a shopping cart with empty beer cans in it.

12:10 p.m., lost, found property — Opened mail with county addresses was found in a parking lot on Greenley Road.

1:21 p.m., animal complaint — A woman in a parking lot on Sanguinetti Road heard a dog crying in a parked vehicle with only one window cracked.

2:18 p.m., parking citation — A black lab was left in a truck parked in a 20-minute parking spot on North Green Street.

2:44 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man on West Stockton Street was carrying a green rifle on his back while waiting for a ride. Turns out it was a BB gun.

3:57 p.m., theft — A woman with lots of tattoos wearing a pink and grey tank top with grey leggings and an ankle monitor was stuffing merchandise (cosmetics, essential oils and vitamins) into her light pink purse at a South Washington Street business.

5:23 p.m., theft — A window air conditioning unit was stolen and the surrounding wood frame was damaged at a business on Hospital Road.

1:15 p.m., San Andreas — A suspicious vehicle was parked on Treat Avenue.

9;39 p.m., San Andreas — A suspicious vehicle was parked on East Saint Charles Street.

4:30 p.m., West Point — Christopher David Schuermann, 33, of the 1400 block of Skull Flat Road, West Point, was booked on suspicion of felony assault with a firearm on a person and misdemeanor battery on a spouse/ex spouse/date etc.

9:30 p.m., Wallace — Lorenzo Ybarra Millan Jr., of the 800 block of North Lincoln Way, Galt, was booked on suspicion of felony driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs after an arrest at Highway 12 and Toreno Way.
