The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

7:04 a.m., trespass/loiter — A woman slept in a park next to a courthouse on North Washington Street.

11:42 a.m., theft — An unknown person broke a gas cap on a vehicle on Elk Drive and stole gasoline and a spare tire.

1:59 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man attempted to sell what he claimed was a stolen laptop while sitting with a friend in front of a Sanguinetti Road business.

2:44 p.m., trespass/loiter — A person caused a disturbance while riding his bicycle inside of a Sanguinetti Road business.

4:51 p.m., traffic violations — A male driver in a white Dodge with a Trump 2020 flag on the back traveled at excessive speeds of 45 to 60 miles per hour between stop signs on Lyons Street and South Shepherd Street.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

9:19 a.m., Sonora — A man loitered behind a Tuolumne Road mini-mart and sang out loud.

5:47 p.m., Sonora — Water poured out of a washing machine at a Mono Way laundromat.

8:30 p.m., Sonora — A Chukar Circle resident believed she was scammed because she received a free phone and now her medical insurance was “compromised.”

9:36 p.m., Columbia — A power line went down on Airport Road and Parrotts Ferry Road which hit a tree and caused sparking.

10:28 p.m., Jamestown — A woman walked down Peppermint Creek Road and said she was going to see Jesus.

11:06 p.m., Jamestown — Renee Lynn Rivera, 48, of the 21000 block of Rainer Court, was booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale and transporting a controlled substance following an arrest on Seco Street.

11:06 p.m., Jamestown — Sara Elisabeth Taylor, 44, of the 18200 block of Via Serena Drive, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale and transporting a controlled substance following an arrest on Seco Street.
