The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

9:17 a.m., trespass/loiter — A man who was previously trespassed from a property was seen loitering on Linoberg Street.

11:53 a.m., weapons violations — A person on Columbia Way heard rapid gunfire near their home.

1:22 p.m., traffic violations — An off-road bike was being driven illegally on South Green Street and other city streets.

4:00 p.m., domestic disputes — A person heard yelling then a smack and thud from a room at a South Washington Street hotel.

9:05 p.m., theft — A person at a Sanguinetti Road store said someone took his black tri-fold wallet from his grocery cart.

9:51 p.m., sexual assault/sexual offenses — A man appeared to be masturbating outside of a Sanguinetti Road busiess while sitting on a bench with an adult magazine and told a person he planned to return because the “women and children were looking good.”

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY
12:40 a.m., Sonora — A man knocked down mailboxes on South Creekside Drive and threw a rock at someone’s car.

12:28 p.m., Pinecrest — A teacher was walking around the reservoir near Pinecrest Lake Road with five teenagers, and one of them sprained their ankle and could not make it back.

4:24 p.m., Soulsbyville — A person on Caylor Drive said their parents received a call from someone purporting to be from a utility company who told them their power was going to be shut off.

5:30 p.m., Tuolumne — A person on Canyonview Drive said teenagers were digging up a hillside to make bike jumps and added he was sick of kids riding their bikes in the road.

10:46 p.m., Jamestown — A person on Seventh Avenue said their neighbor was burning trash and the smoke was coming into their house.

2:55 a.m., Jamestown — Anthony James Gutierrez, 35, of the 10600 block of Ruby Drive, Yuma, Arizona, was booked following an arrest on the 18300 block of Highway 108.

6:57 p.m., Twain Harte — Scott William Poindexter, 52, of the 20900 block of Lynn Lane, Sonora, was booked following an arrest on Lava Road.
