The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

8:12 a.m., vandalism, property damage — A pet bag dispenser on South Washington Street was vandalized.

12:09 p.m., animal complaints — A dog in a vehicle on Mono Way appeared to be in distress.

1:36 p.m., lost, found property — An unused needle filled with an unknown substance was found outside of a South Washington Street bar & grill.

2:20 p.m., animal complaints — A person on South Stewart Street was given instructions on how to catch a rooster who loitered in a nearby vacant lot.

2:40 p.m., animal complaints — A group of kids were riding a blue dune buggy up and down Roble Drive.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

8:21 a.m., Sonora — Music equipment and a laptop were stolen from a church on Joshua Way.

2:24 p.m., Sonora — A man on Highway 49 with no shirt on yelled at passing cars.

7:42 p.m., Tuolumne — A person got out of a vehicle and walked around it after it appeared to be high centered in a vacant lot on Oak Street.

10:34 p.m., Sonora — A person on Oak Tree Lane said her roommate called her work because he was scared about someone pounding on her front door.

9:07 a.m., Valley Springs — A worker removed items from a Rippon Road property that they believed was damaging to the residence.

9:10 a.m., Angels Camp — A person on Frogtown Road said they were involved in an altercation during the fair.

11:44 a.m., Camp Connell — A person on Chumash Drive reported a possible theft of electricity.

12:28 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — Someone pitched a tent in the backyard of a South Main Street residence.

8:57 p.m., Mountain Ranch — A person on Whiskey Slide Road was issued a citation during a traffic stop.
