The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY
6:36 a.m., lost, found property — A red Chevy Malibu was parked on South Stewart Street with a black suitcase in the back, but it was determined to be a trumpet.

8:33 a.m., fraudulent activities — A person on Oak Street sent a gift card to a fraudulent place after being contacted on social media.

2:04 p.m., assault — A “mob” style attack at a North Washington Street school injured two students.

3:17 p.m., vandalism, property damage — A woman’s car at a South Barretta Street home was damaged after being hit with a laundry basket.

4:21 p.m., miscellaneous harassment — A woman was harassed at a Mono Way business by someone.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

2:02 a.m., Jamestown — Two drunk men knocked on the door of a Preston Lane residence and asked if a woman was there and then left.

10:06 a.m., Jamestown — Two butterfly benches were stolen from the front of a Mill Villa Road residence.

1:34 p.m., Big Oak Flat — A person on Wards Ferry Road was concerned about a photo she saw on Facebook of an 11-year-old boy loading a handgun and a caption from his aunt that said “I hope you love your present.”

6:06 p.m., Twain Harte — A person on Broken Bough Lane said one of their neighbors threatens them every time they plow a private road.

11:18 p.m., Jamestown — A person shined a flashlight around a Wigwam Road trailer park.

7:18 p.m., Sonora — Douglas Eric Shults, 57, of the 200 block of Greenley Road, was booked following an arrest on Mono Way.

5:07 p.m., Tuolumne — Susan Alice Hayes, 57, of the 18100 block of Box Factory Road, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury following an arrest on Willow Street.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

3:10 a.m., Valley Springs — A business on Highway 26 was broken into.

11:00 a.m., Railroad Flat — People on North Railroad Flat Road were involved in an argument.

2:56 p.m., Valley Springs — A suspicious person walked along Garner Place and Highway 26.

4:37 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — A rock was thrown through the windshield of a parked vehicle on Big Bar Road.

12:14 p.m., Angels Camp — Tonya Ann Conley, 47, of the 12000 block of Armstrong Road, Sheep Ranch, was booked on suspicion of bringing a controlled substance into jail, transporting a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance for sale and misdemeanor charges possession of a controlled substance following an arrest on the 3500 block of Murphy’s Grade Road.

5:22 p.m., Valley Springs — Alejandro Arias Jr., 24, of the 9200 block of South Highway 26, was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence with prior convictions, felony probation violation and misdemeanor charges driving under the influence, refusing to give his driver’s license to an officer, obstructing a peace officer and a traffic offense following an arrest on Lime Creek Road.
