The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

FRIDAY
7:54 a.m., miscellaneous codes — A transient man slept in the parking lot of a South Washington Street business and used it as a bathroom.

4:11 p.m., miscellaneous harassment — A person on South Washington Street yelled and cussed at a woman attempting to go to her home care job.

6:06 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A person said they witnessed a drug deal outside a Mono Way bank, but the people said they were waiting for their boss.


SATURDAY

12:01 a.m., alarm — A person on East Lyons Street locked themselves in their bedroom while an officer responded to a false alarm at the home.

6:51 a.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — A man and woman at a Greenley Road apartment complex argued for two hours outside their home, then a heavy-set man staggered into the area and joined in the argument.

5:09 p.m., any civil problem — The owner of a Mono Way business yelled and cussed at patrons of a neighboring business for parking in a lot that belonged to him.

10:06 p.m., miscellaneous harassment — An older woman screamed and harassed people outside of a South Washington Street hotel.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

8:37 a.m., Groveland — A woman on Point View Drive left a message on a community service unit voicemail that her brother was kidnapped and is in danger.

9:59 a.m., Columbia — A person at a Five Mile Creek Road property said her brother was at his residence without electricity, heat or food and was burning furniture to keep warm.

12:06 p.m., Twain Harte — A Twain Harte Drive motel found a cockroach infestation inside the room of a person who had been staying at the motel since November, but the resident was being difficult about leaving the room.

4:38 p.m., Jamestown — A man wearing all black and a red hat dug around a bridge on Bell Mooney Road, clapped and threw rocks.

SATURDAY

6:01 a.m., Sonora — A person on Lakeside Drive said people were trying to get into her house by drilling through the roof, and someone changed her sister’s identity to a man.

2:16 p.m., Sonora — An Amy Drive resident found a gas can, a ball and food wrapper in her yard after snow melted.

9:17 p.m., Sonora — A person on Chukar Circle requested the number of a cab company to bring her groceries.

12:57 a.m., Jamestown — Casey Dale Malone, 32, of the 700 block of Riedsville Court, Modesto, was booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale, transporting a controlled substance and criminal conspiracy following an arrest on Chicken Ranch Road.

1:25 p.m., Sonora — Carlton August Schuster, 28, of the 2400 block of Langford Avenue, Modesto, was booked on suspicion of possession of drugs or alcohol in jail and misdemeanor charges being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance paraphernalia following an arrest on Lower Sunset Drive.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

1:38 p.m., Copperopolis — A person moving out of a Chuckwagon Road property carried marijuana in boxes.

3:16 p.m., Copperopolis — A person on Morado Court said her emotional support cat was stolen.

8:35 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — A person on Highway 49 attempted to flag down passing drivers with a flashlight.

SATURDAY

8:42 a.m., Copperopolis — Tires were vandalized on a vehicle parked on Morado Court.

11:12 a.m., Valley Springs — A shed on Daphne Street was broken into.
