The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY
7:34 a.m., vandalism, property damage — A rock was thrown through the windshield of a vehicle parked on Tidwall Street during the night.

8:24 a.m., threats — A patient at a hospital on Greenley Road attempted to leave the facility against medical advice, and after swinging at a security guard he was restrained but threatened to kill everyone if he was freed.

9:24 a.m., reckless driving — A man in a white sedan drove through stop signs on South Stewart Street and talked on his phone while driving.

2:34 p.m., fraudulent activities — An employee of a South Washington Street business was accused of using company checks and credit cards for personal use.

7:36 p.m., traffic violations — An employee of a Sanguinetti Road business believed a driver had the scent of alcohol emanating from him, but an officer determined he was not driving under the influence.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

3:11 a.m., Jamestown — A customer at a Victoria Place business watched someone roll out from under a propane tank.

11:25 a.m., Sonora — A person on Murphy Road saw 40 to 50 goats “everywhere.”

1:15 p.m., Sonora — A person on Serrano Road used a tee shirt to cover the license plate of a dark blue Toyota Camry.

4:01 p.m., Columbia — People driving on Five Mile Creek Road were lost and then got stuck in a ditch.

10:38 p.m., Sonora — A Crestview Drive resident said her neighbors were fighting for over an hour and it “really escalated” until a man said, “I’m going to kill you.”

12:04 a.m., Sonora — James Richard Black II, 44, of the 13200 block of Red Hills Road, Ceres, was booked following an arrest on Greenley Road.

7:33 p.m., Sonora — Forrest Leonard Jones Jr., 47, transient, was booked on suspicion of threatening crime with the intent to terrorize and committing a felony while out on bail or own recognizance following an arrest on Greenley Road.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

5:27 a.m., Vallecito — A woman on the side of Red Hill Access Road was involved in some sort of memorial ritual with a flame near the entrance to a winery.

9:53 a.m., Copperopolis — A woman at a Spangler Lane store took a bag of items to the bathroom.

1:36 p.m., Arnold — Suspicious lighters were seen at a Second Street home during the night.

4:25 p.m., Copperopolis — A person on Main Street believed they saw a foot on the side of the road but a deputy identified it as a mannequin foot.

8:25 p.m., Copperopolis — Merchandise was stolen from a Spangler Lane business.
