TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

THURSDAY

5:16 a.m., trespass/loiter — A man was digging in plants and garbage cans outside a Mono Way business.

6:57 a.m., trespass/loiter — A man refused to leave the restroom of a Mono Way restaurant.

8:30 a.m., Animal complaint — Dogs were barking at a residence on Maple from morning to night.

11:47 a.m., parking citation — A vehicle was parked in a handicap disabled parking spot with no placard at a business on Mono Way.

2 p.m., weapons violations — A woman heard a single gunshot in the area of South Stewart and Restano Way. It was a vehicle backfire.

5:46 p.m., theft — A man and women were shoplifting from a Sanguinetti business.

11:57 p.m., traffic violation — A vehicle was “all over the roadway and swerving over double yellow lines.” The driver was trying to diagnose an issue on the vehicle.

The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office reported the following;

THURSDAY

1:25 a.m., Sonora — A drunk man made a scene at a community pool on Corte Primero.

2:33 a.m., Sonora — Someone stole $8 from cars on Ranier Court, then left a door open and the dome light on.

4:32 a.m., Sonora — Three people were trying to get into a house on Niagra River Drive.

4:52 a.m., Sonora — Dogs at a house on Ranier Court barked and the resident went outside to find his truck broken into and pocket knives and change were taken.

5:31 a.m., Sonora — A man who was panhandling returned and refused to leave a store on Mono Way.

8:37 a.m., Sonora — A man who tried to take items from a store on Mono Way returned.

9:55 a.m., Jamestown — Mail was stolen from a box on Willow Street.

10:35 a.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A man grabbed a gun to keep his painter away from him on Hekeke Lane.

10:47 a.m., Tuolumne — Bathrooms at a youth center on Main Street were torn up.

11:10 a.m., Sonora — Tools and supplies were taken from a business on Dog Patch Lane.

2 p.m., Columbia — A man was drunk at a church on Jackson Street.

6:16 p.m., Sonora — A man walked up to a fence on Old Wards Ferry Road and when a neighbor asked what he was doing he said “picking flowers.” When he left, the neighbor’s license plate was hanging on the fence.

11:33 p.m., Sonora — Cherice Lynn Novo, 42, General Delivery, Mount Shasta, was booked after an arrest on Mono Way.

Felony arrests

THURSDAY

10:25 a.m., Sonora — Christopher John Mills, 27, 400 block Sonora Avenue, was booked on suspicion of carrying a concealed dirk or dagger and violation of parole after an arrest on Serrano Road.

11:59 p.m., Jamestown — John Michael Blanchard, 20, no address listed. was booked on suspicion of burglary after an arrest on O’Byrnes Ferry Road.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

3:19 a.m., Valley Springs — Items were reported stolen from an Usher Drive address.

8:46 a.m., San Andreas — Someone slept behind a West Saint Charles business.

9:13 a.m., San Andreas — Items were taken from a vehicle parked on Main Street.

10:32 p.m., Sheep Ranch — Trash was dumped on Sheep Ranch Road.
