TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

MONDAY

2:25 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A person outside of an Old Wards Ferry Road business was suspicious of people moving “blocks,” but an officer determined the person was allowed to move pallets.

10:45 a.m., animal complaints — A person on Hospital Road said they saw an injured bear outside of a business.

4:10 p.m., traffic accidents — A vehicle parked in a Sanguinetti Road parking lot was damaged and a witness left a note on the vehicle that said she had photographs of the responsible vehicle.

MONDAY

6:55 p.m., animal complaints — A pit bull dog and a boxer breed dog ran unleashed on Elk Drive.

11:20 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A person on South Barretta Street heard loud noises from outside her house, and she was scared someone was attempting to break in.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

MONDAY

2:07 a.m., Sonora — A person on Grace Way said his wife, who was under the influence of alcohol and marijuana, was attempting to light him on fire by taking a lighter to his bed sheet.

7:07 a.m., Jamestown — A man swung a shovel around a Highway 108 building and eventually threw it at the building.

9:18 a.m., Columbia — A Four Wheel Drive resident requested advice about who would stay in his residence if he and his girlfriend split up.

10:29 a.m., Sonora — A man wearing camouflage clothing brandished a knife and carried a large knife in a sheath inside a Mono Way grocery store.

12:55 p.m., Columbia — A person on Parrotts Ferry Road believed they saw a naked elderly man walking along the the side of the bridge separating Tuolumne and Calaveras counties.

3:37 p.m., Tuolumne — A person on Cherokee Road said his mother’s neighbors were being too loud.

4:58 p.m., Sonora — A person said he talked to a real estate agent about a house on Mount Elizabeth Road, but the owner of the house threatened to sic a dog on him.

7:36 p.m., Pinecrest — Two people hiking on Lakeside Trail from Cleo’s Bath asked someone for water, but the person believed they were casing the area.

11:31 p.m., Pinecrest — A man at a campsite on Pinecrest Lake Road threatened to strangle, cut and kill a woman.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

MONDAY

12:06 p.m., Valley Springs — An arrest was made on Riley Way for local warrants.

5:27 p.m., Valley Springs — A customer left a Nove Way business without paying.

5:36 p.m., Valley Springs — An unwanted person was at a Highway 12 business.

9:39 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — A vehicle dragging a chain threw sparks on Highway 49.

9:00 a.m., San Andreas — Jason Robert Porter, 44, of the 17700 block of Red Oak Drive, Jamestown, was booked after an arrest on Jeff Tuttle Drive.
