The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

MONDAY
7:59 a.m., hazardous situation — A man on Stockton Road stopped vehicles by walking in and out of traffic.

8:47 a.m., trespass/loiter — A man who was not a guest at a South Washington Street hotel snuck in to eat free breakfast and ran away after being asked multiple times to leave.

10:05 a.m., animal complaints — A person on Bourbon Street complained about two at-large dogs that continually came onto her property and chase her cats.

5:37 p.m., theft — A Stihl saw was stolen from a Mono Way property.

6:37 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man with a large fishing backpack cast a fishing line across a street near South Washington Street with a gummy worm attached to a hook.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

MONDAY

8:35 a.m., Sonora — A person on Paseo De Los Robles purchased a vehicle for $1,500 online, but the vehicle broke down on her way home from the Sacramento area and she did not have the pink slip for the vehicle.

9:46 a.m., Sonora — A goat ran loose on Eagle Ridge Drive.

2:13 p.m., Sonora — A person on Racetrack Road saw a baby bear cross the road.

9:14 p.m., Jamestown — A person on Park Avenue shot a dog two times with a .22 pistol after it attacked her chickens.

11:14 p.m., Sonora — A person on Columbia River Drive said a person across the street continually shined a spotlight in her house.

11:02 p.m., Jamestown — Michael Joe Holder, 44, of the 200 block of South Broadway Street, Turlock, was booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale, transporting a controlled substance, possession of tear gas or pepper spray while a felon, and misdemeanor charges driving with a suspended license after an arrest on Jamestown Road.


CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

MONDAY

1 a.m., Mountain Ranch — A possible break-in was reported on Michel Road, but the report was unfounded.

2:30 p.m., Valley Springs — A person on Bartelink Drive left fliers on some residences but not on others.

5:13 p.m., San Andreas — A person was intoxicated on Hildebrandt Street but left before the arrival of a deputy.
