TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY
11:50 a.m., miscellaneous harassment — A Greenley Road resident received harassing phone calls from a man regarding a loan.

2:16 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A person at a South Washington Street business stopped a shoplifter attempting to steal a soda.

6:29 p.m., any civil problem — A woman said she was kicked out of her house on Elm Street and the tenants wouldn’t allow her to get her property.

7:44 p.m., warrant arrests — Six to seven people were seen with open containers in front of a Sanguinetti Road business and one man hit a table with his fist.

10:00 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman could be heard yelling on Hospital Road.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

9:21 a.m., Columbia — A woman heard dogs barking during the night and then found her garbage can 25 feet up a steep embankment behind her house.

3:33 p.m., Columbia — Two large tan cows were seen roaming on Springfield Road.

4:48 p.m., Groveland — A person on Old Highway 120 was with a woman who did not know where she was or who she was.

8:30 p.m., Sonora — A bear was trapped in a garage on Dapple Gray Lane and attempted to get in the main house.

10:50 p.m., Twain Harte — A person approached a vehicle on Miners Avenue and found trash bags and a small child inside. The child said his father was up the street and he had to sleep in the car.

6:40 p.m., Sonora — Mary Marjorie Welsh, 64, of the 500 block of Barretta Street, was booked following an arrest at her home.

11:29 p.m., Jamestown — Daniel Ray Foreman, 50, of the 20500 block of Hazel Avenue, Soulsbyville, was booked on suspicion of threatening crime with the intent to terrorize and misdemeanor charges battery, false imprisonment and resisting a peace officer following an arrest on the 18200 block of Highway 108.


CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

8:53 a.m., San Andreas — People on Fricot City Road were involved in an argument.

9:30 a.m., Burson — Unfamiliar vehicles were seen in front of a Wilkinson Lane property.

12:19 p.m., Arnold — A black bear club pounded on a sliding glass door on Valley View Drive.

3:36 p.m., Campo Seco — A shed was stolen on Watertown Road.

8:23 p.m., Murphys — A suspicious person was seen on Highway 4 but deputies were unable to locate them.
