The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY
9:47 a.m., animal complaints — A person staying at a South Washington Street hotel purposefully let her friend’s cat out the door and threw a cup of liquid at her but the friend said she was only concerned about the cat.

12:04 p.m., trespass/loiter — Security video showed a man hanging around a construction area on South Green Street.

12:36 p.m., hazardous situation — Someone was concerned train crossing signs on Sanguinetti Road repeatedly went up and down.

2:06 p.m., lost, found property — Bullets were found in the parking lot of a South Green Street hotel.

9:46 p.m., weapons violations — A person on Greenley Road heard a single gunshot.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

9:17 a.m., Sonora — A suspicious man who appeared to be a transient hung out at a clubhouse on Crystal Falls Road.

2:14 p.m., Sonora — A person on Cordelia Avenue thought it was weird that a food van was attempting to sell him and his friends 18 oz. steaks for $4.50 because “no one can buy steaks at that price.”

8:32 p.m., Columbia — Four juveniles threatened to beat up someone at a Broadway Street motel after attempting to buy drugs from him.

9:01 p.m., Sonora — A green hatchback was seen in a ditch on Crystal Falls Drive.

10:51 p.m., Jamestown — A cellphone was stolen at a Chicken Ranch Road business.

10:29 a.m., Mokelumne Hill — A report that firearms were discharged on North Sport Hill Road was unfounded.

4:12 p.m., Valley Springs — A vehicle blocked part of Highway 12 near Double Springs Road.

6:00 p.m., Valley Springs — A possibly abandoned vehicle was seen on Berkesey Lane.

10:26 p.m., Valley Springs — A person was locked inside of a Pine Street residence.

10:20 a.m., Copperopolis — Edward Lee Silleman, 46, of the 200 block of West East Avenue, Chico, was booked on suspicion of attempted burglary and misdemeanor charges driving under the influence, trespassing and loitering in private property following an arrest on Sugar Loaf Court.

12:29 p.m., Angels Camp — Stephanie Lee Bridgeman, 27, of the 1800 block of Appaloosa Road, was booked on suspicion of child cruelty following an arrest at her home.

12:29 p.m., Angels Camp — Shawn Paul Langston, 54, of the 1800 block of Appaloosa Road, was booked on suspicion of possession of a firearm by a felon or addict, possession of ammunition by a prohibited person and child cruelty following an arrest at his home.
