The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

11:54 a.m., animal complaints — A person on Bulwer Street was chased by two pitbulls and though he was able to get away, one of them grabbed his foot and tore his shoe off.

2:49 p.m., unclassified — A transient man with a chihuahua panhandled out front of a Mono Way business.

4:02 p.m., controlled substances — A juvenile male was believed to have been smoking a substance in a North Washington Street parking structure.

8:43 p.m., suspicious circumstances — Garbage was seen all around a vehicle parked on Sanguinetti Road and the occupants were warned about expired vehicle registration.

10:37 p.m., trespass/loiter — A transient man used the hose to a South Stewart Street and the owner wanted him to leave.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

9:42 a.m., Sonora — A West Walnut Drive resident put her trash cans out at night and when she went to throw other things away, saw that someone else had filled up her trash can.

11:26 a.m., Sonora — A person stole a roll of stamps from a Joshua Way property.

7:56 p.m., Jamestown — A man in a wheelchair was seen near Highway 108.

8:12 p.m., Twain Harte — A person on Twain Harte Drive said he received a call from his wife that their neighbors were involved in a heated argument.

10:14 p.m., Sonora — A person requested a welfare check on a friend on Highway 49 because they seemed upset about having to attend a meeting.

10:45 p.m., Jamestown — Kelly Amber Schriver, 53, of the 300 block of Locust Street, was booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale, transporting a controlled substance, being in possession of pepper spray while a felon in possession of a controlled substance paraphernalia following an arrest on Chicken Ranch Road.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

4:44 p.m., Copperopolis —An arrest was made for public intoxication on Spangler Lane.

5:48 p.m., San Andreas —A person hid in the bushes on Calaveritas Road.

7:18 p.m., San Andreas — A person walked on Calaveritas Road with no shoes.

10:16 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — People were involved in an argument on Highway 49.

11:05 p.m., Valley Springs — A commercial alarm sounded on Hogan Dam Road due to an open door.
