The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

10:41 a.m., vandalism, property damage — A person attempted to drive through a locked fence on North Forest Road during the night and damaged it.

1:23 p.m., reckless driving — A woman stopped in the middle of Greenley Road while asleep at the wheel, and she woke up and began driving again after someone honking woke her up.

2:24 p.m., animal complaints —Two rabbits that may have been domesticated roamed in the backyard of a South Sonora Avenue residence.

5:15 p.m., traffic accidents — Two vehicles were hit by an elderly woman driving in front of a South Washington Street business.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

9:39 a.m., Sonora — A suspicious woman walked in circles behind a business on Highway 108.

11:52 a.m., Sonora — A woman screamed “get your hands off me, stop hitting me” to a man on Crystal Falls Drive.

12:38 p.m., Columbia — A vehicle with “Murder” spray painted on the back traveled on Parrotts Ferry Road.

5:03 p.m., Twain Harte — A person made gun gestures with their hands and pretended to shoot employees through the window of a bank on Twain Harte Drive.

6:20 p.m., Sonora — A person on Lakeside Drive said someone killed her dog and friend, and her neighbor brought a shovel over to her house which she believed was a veiled threat to kill and bury her. A deputy determined the report was unfounded.

11:52 a.m., Sonora — Michael David Brennan, 46, of Oakland, was booked on suspicion of vehicle theft and misdemeanor charges possession of a controlled substance paraphernalia after an arrest on Sanguinetti Road.

6:18 p.m., Columbia — Phillip Justin Vonich, 38, of the 23000 block of Italian Bar Road, was booked on suspicion of threatening crime with the intent to terrorize, stalking and misdemeanor charges violating a court order to prevent domestic violence after an arrest at his home.

6:20 p.m., Sonora — Sean Michael Burdan, 45, of the 300 block of Ayba Street, was booked on suspicion of possession of an assault weapon and possession of a firearm while a felon after an arrest at his home.

6:20 p.m., Tuolumne — David Robert Mussenden, 56, of the 23000 block of Oxbow Drive, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of first degree robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, first degree burglary, vehicle theft and misdemeanor charges resisting a peace officer, possession of a controlled substance paraphernalia and vandalism after an arrest on Tuolumne Road North.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

3:47 a.m., Arnold — A person drove around a cul-de-sac on East Mokelumne Drive.

4:41 p.m., Arnold — A loud boom was reported on Highway 4 that was likely a vehicle backfire.

5:49 p.m., Angels Camp — A report of someone shooting at a coyote from a vehicle on Pool Station Road was transferred to another agency.

11:31 p.m., San Andreas — An altercation was heard on West Saint Charles Street.

1:30 a.m., Glencoe — Horace Young Jr., 21, of the 2600 block of Blue Ridge Road, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury after an arrest on the 2300 block of Blue Ridge Road.

6:54 p.m., Angels Camp — Louis Alfred Leary, 51, of the 700 block of Mark Twain Road, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury after an arrest on Mark Twain Road.

10:15 p.m., Copperopolis — Michael Stevens Ribeira, 43, of the 4900 block of Yuma Court, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury, child cruelty, threatening crime with the intent to terrorize and misdemeanor charges exhibiting a firearm after an arrest at his home.
