The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

8:29 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A man in the middle of South Washington Street behaved strangely.

10:08 a.m., traffic violations — traffic violations — A gray Honda Accord parked on the sidewalk in front of of a South Washington Street business was towed.

10:25 a.m., graffiti — Spray paint on a rock and writing on a metal pipe were found at a park adjacent to South Washington Street.

3:59 p.m., lost, found property — Two suitcases were left in a stairwell on South Stewart Street.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

11:34 a.m., Groveland — A person on a walk on Clinton Road picked up an “interesting piece of wood” and found drugs.

4:31 p.m., Twain Harte — A person on Twain Harte Drive was told by their son that there was a lot of gang-style tagging throughout town.

5:46 p.m., Jamestown — A person on Eighth Street saw a drug deal at a vehicle playing very loud rap music.

6:24 p.m., Jamestown — A Wigwam Road resident was concerned about a water heater squirting water “all over the place.”

9:20 p.m., Columbia — A Parrotts Ferry Road resident’s boyfriend threatened to kill her, and she was afraid for the welfare of two children at the residence.

WEDNESDAY

11:11 p.m., Sonora — Shawn Marie Alexander, 33, transient, was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence and additional misdemeanor charges possession of a controlled substance after an arrest on Tuolumne Road.

1:28 a.m., Sonora — Tiffany Mai, 31, of the 300 block of East Poplar Street, Stockton, was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence and additional misdemeanor charges driving without a license and appropriating lost property after an arrest on Tuolumne Road.

9:16 a.m., Groveland — Thomas James Saunders, 50, of the 20700 block of Hemlock Street, was booked on suspicion of battery with serious bodily injury, inflicting injury upon a child and misdemeanor charges battery after an arrest at his home.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

11:27 a.m., West Point — Target shooting was heard in the area of Highway 26.

11:34 a.m., Copperopolis — Checks were stolen from a Moccasin Street property.

3:48 p.m., Copperopolis — Trash was dumped on the side of Highway 4.

8:49 p.m., San Andreas — An arrest was made on Angels Road for public intoxication and resisting arrest.

7:35 p.m., Avery — Marjorie Ann Hale, 56, of the 300 block of Hawkwind Way, Sheep Ranch, was booked on suspicion of bringing a controlled substance into jail and misdemeanor charges possession of a controlled substance paraphernalia and driving under the influence after an arrest on Highway 4.

9:10 p.m., San Andreas — Roy Charles Karr, 44, of the 5300 block of Lake Isabella Boulevard, Lake Isabella, was booked on suspicion of resisting an executive officer and misdemeanor charges disorderly conduct following an arrest on Angels Road.
