The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

4:53 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A man was passed out behind the wheel of a black Ford Crown Victoria.

12:17 p.m., parking citation — Two people flagged down a community service officer about a vehicle parked in a handicap space and the vehicle was issued a citation.

1:09 p.m., traffic violations — A vehicle on Mono Way ran out of gas and blocked part of Mono Way.

7:03 p.m., any civil problem — A person on South Washington Street requested speaking with an officer about his neighbor smoking, which was bothering his toddler.

8:09 p.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — A large fight was reported in the parking lot of a school on North Washington.

WEDNESDAY

9:33 a.m., parking citation — A citation was issued to a vehicle parked in a red zone on North Washington Street.

3:18 p.m., reckless driving — A vehicle with a flat rear tire crossed into the opposing lane of traffic on North Stewart Street.

8:21 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man with a flashlight was looking into the driver’s side of a parked vehicle on South Shepherd Street, but when a driver stopped at the stop sign beside him, he turned the flashlight off.

8:55 p.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — A man refused to pay for food and yelled at people at a Mono Way restaurant.

9:56 p.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — A woman who appeared to be intoxicated yelled across Oak Street at her neighbor.

7:07 a.m., Sonora — A skinny man with long hair and wearing a long black coat walked up and down Tinnin Road and Old Wards Ferry Road.

11:18 a.m., Sonora — A juvenile jumped out of a moving vehicle on Village Drive after being picked up by his mother from school.

12:08 p.m., Sonora — A woman inside a Tuolumne Road thrift store became erratic and suggested self-harm when discussing the power shut off.

1:35 p.m., Long Banr — A Wheeler Road resident said he wanted to know if his neighbors were there legitimately because there was a history of squatters and they needed to clean it up.

11:32 p.m., Sonora — A man walked through a Mono Way fast food restaurant parking lot carrying a machete or a large knife.

1:48 p.m., Valley Springs — A transient was reported to be sleeping in a dumpster on California Street, but was gone when deputies arrived.

3:27 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — Butane cans were seen on the side Hawyer Road and Jesus Maria Road.

4:16 p.m., Valley Springs — A caller on Gabor Street picked up the phone to call 911 and then immediately hung up the line.
