The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

4:39 a.m., trespass/loiter — An agitated man refused to leave after being discharged from the hospital on Greenley Road.

8:44 a.m., lost, found property — A man’s wallet was found on Pauline Court and returned.

3:36 p.m., fraudulent activities — The bookkeeper at a South Washington business received a fraudulent email to pay an invoice that had been altered.

7:40 p.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — An upset female customer of a Mono Way business yelled at the store manager.

8:39 p.m., theft — A man left a West Stockton Street restaurant without paying his bar tab and the credit card left behind was declined.

9:12 p.m., animal complaint — A medium sized dog was found on Mono Way and taken to the Sonora Police Department.



The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

12:34 a.m., Sonora — A Meadow Court man hit a roommate on the side of the head to get him off the phone.

2:16 a.m., Sonora — A “new” homeless person keeps coming in and out of a Mono Way business and was hiding in the dumpster behind the business.

3:16 a.m., Jamestown — A man refused to leave a Chicken Ranch Road business.

3:20 a.m., Sonora — A man walked with two dogs on the Stevenot Bridge on Highway 49 and “were all, or none, or some, hit by a cement truck.”

3:43 a.m., Sonora — A man’s credit card was declined at a Mono Way business so he left, coming back 10 minutes later with a different credit card that was also declined and was wearing sunglasses and a hoodie with the hood up.

8:13 a.m., Jamestown — A property owner on Mill Villa Road says they would like a homeless couple off the property where they are squatting.

8:50 a.m., Jamestown — A person on Well House Dr./Vista Dr. says they heard someone yell “I hate you, We’re done” and other yelling.

11:39 a.m., Jamestown — A woman on Preston Lane let her daughter take her vehicle with the assumption she was doing work on it. The daughter returned it with the original tires with the rims missing and all the items that were in the vehicle are missing.

11:46 a.m., Long Barn — A Lakeview Drive man’s neighbors threatened to kill him with a rifle and stated, “there is going to be a homicide out here” before driving back down to his property.

2:48 p.m., Twain Harte — A woman’s cat ran out the door and ran up a tree. She was advised to put a bowl of food at the bottom of the tree and not to try and grab him until he was down.

4:39 p.m., Sonora — A drunk man left a Mono Way business with half a bottle of vodka in his hand.

4:39 p.m., Sonora — A woman yelled all kinds of crazy things while dropping off garbage bags and ice chests off in front of a Mono Way business.

5:10 p.m., Sonora — A man looked into cars and jingled door handles of Mono Way businesses.

5:56 p.m., Columbia — A Parrotts Ferry Road resident stood in his back room naked while looking at kids.

6:49 p.m., Tuolumne — A resident of the Tuolumne Apartments said she can see a skunk going in and out of a hole in the ground and is “making itself bigger and smaller.”

9:26 p.m., Sonora — A woman on Berg Court says someone broke into her room and stole an unactivated credit card, a necklace and a bluetooth device.

9:34 p.m., Chinese Camp — A Red Hills Road resident says he was gone for a couple of days and came home to his house destroyed, tables flipped over, glass broken and his table saw is missing.

11:12 p.m., Sonora — A Mono Way business owner said there was a red van in the parking lot with lots of foot traffic and everyone is “weird looking” he stated he does “not want any meth heads in my parking lot.”

3:06 a.m., Angels Camp — A man with two dogs walked on the Stevenot Bridge and may have been hit by a cement truck.

12:12 p.m., Arnold — Money is being taken from donation boxes on Dunbar Road.

1:27 p.m., Murphys — A generator was stolen off Pennsylvania Gulch Road.

6:10 p.m., Valley Springs — Chris Laurence Long, 36, of the 1000 block of Mockingbird Hill, was booked on suspicion of felony assault on a person with a firearm, felony threaten crime with intent to terrorize, felony corporal injury on spouse/cohabitant, and felony willful cruelty to a child possible injury/death after an arrest on Shadow Court Vista Del Lago.
