The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

MONDAY

5:20 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman at a South Washington Street store believed someone may have been cooking controlled substances in the creek beneath her because she smelled a chemical odor.

8:49 a.m., traffic violations — A black GMC pulling a utility trailer was given a warning because it was bouncing and sparking.

4:04 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man in a vehicle repeatedly drove by a woman and her friends at a South Washington Street bar and looked at them.

5:42 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman slept in the bushes near the dumpsters on Old Wards Ferry Road.

5:53 p.m., miscellaneous codes — A vehicle dumped a load of washers, dryers and couches on Truckenmiller Road and returned to pick up their trash.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

SUNDAY

7:47 a.m., Columbia — A person told a Big Hill Road resident they were going through their trash to look for recyclables.

11:50 a.m., Tuolumne — Brothers on Carter Street fought each other during a concrete pouring job and messed up the concrete.

6:06 p.m., Sonora — Smoke came out from under the hood of a car parked on Mono Way and Restano Way.

7:34 p.m., Twain Harte — An elderly woman came to her neighbors house on Little Fuller Road to tell her she was locked out of her house and she couldn’t eat because she did not have any way to heat her food.

10:05 p.m., Jamestown — A Preston Lane resident requested a walk through the complex because she was seeing unfamiliar faces and smelling smoke from cigarettes and marijuana.

1:12 a.m., Sonora — A Skyview Drive resident said someone was on her property knocking things over and hiding in the bushes.

10:21 a.m., Jamestown — A man and woman yelled and screamed at each other from opposite sides of Highway 108 and Wigwam Road.

11:46 a.m., La Grange — An Enramada Drive resident said people who were on her roof all night long were listening in on her phone conversations and rewired her light sockets.

2:25 p.m., Sonora — A woman on Yosemite Road said she asked someone to look after her five cats and the person lost two and refused to give back the other three.

5:47 p.m., Sonora — A possible DUI driver rode a lawn mower on Highway 49 and crossed over the double yellows.
