The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

FRIDAY

2:15 a.m., suspicious circumstances — Two men attempted to get into a vehicle parked in a Sanguinetti Road parking lot.

12:16 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A person on South Washington Street believed two people were under the influence because one of them laid against a fence.

6:23 p.m., lost, found property — A pocket knife valued at less than $50 was found at a North Washington Street park.

8:20 p.m., assault — A woman claimed she and her daughter were assaulted by a juvenile girl on South Washington Street.

SATURDAY

2:32 a.m., Sonora — A vehicle parked in the farmer’s market lot on Theall Street was towed.

11:45 a.m., traffic violations — A female driver at a Mono Way fast food restaurant smoked while driving and had approximately four children in the car who were not buckled.

4:01 p.m., traffic accidents — A person hit a trailer in a Greenley Road parking lot with their vehicle and was disoriented about the accident.

5:51 p.m., fraudulent activities — A person said their ex-roommate used their debit card to purchase items from a Sanguinetti Road store.

9:33 p.m., assault — A person with scratches on them said they were assaulted in front of a South Washington Street hotel.

9:47 a.m., controlled substances — A person believed two people with a young child at a Greenley Road park were smoking a blunt, but it was determined they were just smoking a tobacco cigar.

11:21 a.m., unclassified — A person illegally dumped their trash at a Mono Way coffee shop.

3:57 p.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — Loud music came from a residence on Roble Drive, and though it was determined by an officer not to be unreasonable, the resident said he would turn it down.

5:17 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman was in the middle of South Washington Street and stopped in the middle of the lane.

6:15 p.m., threats — A person said they were threatened in the parking lot of a Mono Way pharmacy.

12:54 a.m., Twain Harte — A person saw a large group of teens in two different cars that were throwing a swimming party at a lake on Lakeview Drive.

11:21 a.m., Sonora — A plumbing company on Mono Way received a fake $100 bill.

1:25 p.m., Sonora — A belligerent customer refused to leave a fried chicken fast food restaurant on Mono Way despite being asked multiple times to do so.

6:18 p.m., Tuolumne — A Horizon Court resident said his neighbor dumped chicken juice on his driveway to bait a bear the resident was having ongoing problems with.
