The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

12:58 p.m., trespass/loiter — A Ridge Road resident chased a man who he thought was wandering around on his property, but it was determined later that the man and his mother were new residents in the area and he was just walking.

4 p.m., fraudulent activities — A man who was outside the United States spoke on the phone with an elderly woman at a Sanguinetti Road bank, and upset her while pressuring her to withdraw a large sum of money.

6:03 p.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — A man in a cowboy hat was verbally aggressive and swung a cane in front of a South Washington Street building.

11:49 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man stumbled and slurred his words in front of a Sanguinetti Road business.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

8:07 a.m., Twain Harte — A man hanging around a Tiffeni Drive business kicked things and made employees uncomfortable when they went to see what he was going

8:38 a.m., Sonora — Someone sprayed graffiti on the wood of a damaged ATM machine on Mono Way.

1:44 p.m., Sonora — A homeless man hung around a Columbia Way home and later bothered a resident’s child at a bus stop.

8:33 p.m., Groveland — A Cottonwood Street resident confronted a man in a neighboring home who said he was a realtor and the house was for sale, but the owner contacted the resident who said it was not.

8:59 p.m., Moccasin — A person on Highway 49 said someone was followed him and threw something in the passenger-side window of his vehicle.

2:40 p.m., Jamestown — Tori Morgan Rowe, 24, of the 1100 block of Shaws Flat Road, was booked on suspicion of possession of tear gas or pepper spray while a felon and misdemeanor charges possession of a controlled substance paraphernalia following an arrest on the 10600 block of Seventh Street.

3:40 p.m., Jamestown — Cody Douglas Wright, 28, transient, was booked on suspicion of possession of tear gas or a gas weapon while addicted to narcotics and misdemeanor charges possession of a controlled substance following an arrest on the 10600 block of Seventh Street.

11:49 p.m., Sonora — James Joshua Cooper, 26, of Twain Harte Drive, Twain Harte, was booked on suspicion of felony vandalism following an arrest on the first block of Lower Sunset Drive.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

9:22 a.m., Railroad Flat — Someone parked a travel trailer on South Railroad Flat Road without permission.

9:47 a.m., Murphys — A vehicle was left in a business parking lot on Highway 4 for a month.

4:47 p.m., San Andreas — People argued on Highway 49.

5:32 p.m., Copperopolis — A residence was broken into on Morado Court.

7:32 p.m., Railroad Flat — A vehicle was damaged on South Railroad Flat Road.

12:25 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — Brian Wade Massey Sr., 48, of the 100 block of Pine Street, Valley Springs, was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence and additional misdemeanor charges probation violation, possession of a controlled substance paraphernalia and misuse of a needle following an arrest near Highway 49.

4:38 p.m., San Andreas — Richard Leroy Thornton, 53, of the 1100 block of Bret Harte Road, Angels Camp, was booked following an arrest on California Street.
