The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

FRIDAY
7:10 a.m., trespass/loiter — A man and woman slept behind a Snell Street church.

1:07 p.m., traffic accidents — A tenant hit a building on South Stewart Street and made a large hole in it.

3:00 p.m., animal complaints — A person at a South Washington Street hotel dropped a puppy and it sustained an injury to its face and was bleeding from the nose.

6:34 p.m., theft — An owner of a Mono Way business was involved in a fight with a group of people who attempted to steal merchandise from his store.

9:29 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A person at a Mono Way grocery store heard knocking come from a car and a possible scream for help, but an officer determined that there was no emergency except that there were too many occupants in the car for the number of seatbelts.


SATURDAY

2:11 a.m., suspicious circumstances — An unknown person was yelling for help on Morning Star Drive.

12:03 p.m., assault — A person at a Greenley Road school said their daughter was punched in the face a few days prior.

6:52 p.m., suspicious circumstances — People on Pauline Court ran a chainsaw while conducting clean up work for a doctor’s office.

7:48 p.m., vehicle theft — A vehicle on East Lyons Street was rolled approximately 10 to 20 feet from its location and its door was damaged.

9:17 p.m., domestic disputes — A person on Court Street heard a woman screaming then a loud slam.

SUNDAY

1:09 a.m., reckless driving — A red truck was spinning donuts on South Stewart Street and East Church Street.

4:28 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A man paced back and forth on Summit Street while swinging his arms.

2:27 p.m., traffic citations — A vehicle on North Washington Street was issued a moving violation for a lack of valid registration.

7:43 p.m., parking — The driver of a vehicle parked in a red zone on Sanguinetti Road and was advised to move the vehicle.

FRIDAY

10:29 a.m., Columbia — A person on Marble Quarry Road received a package addressed to them that contained two bricks.

1:36 p.m., Sonora — Someone on Belleview Road parked in a neighbor’s driveway and refused to move.

4:36 p.m., assault — A person was involved in an argument with the owner of a Mono Way body shop, and he said the owner ripped up his check, stuffed it in his pocket and then pushed him outside.

9:35 p.m., Groveland — A person on Pine Mountain Drive said a woman with two children who were not wearing shoes ran up his driveway to his door.

10:04 p.m., Strawberry — A man in the area of the Strawberry cell tower said he was staying in a cabin and his kids called 911 while they had his phone.

SATURDAY

1:23 a.m., Sonora — A person at a Big Hill Road property said he received a call from his daughter who said she was locked in a bathroom with her newborn son.

11:03 a.m., Sonora — Logging boots were stolen from a Black Oak Road property.

2:43 p.m., Pinecrest — A man at a ski resort on Dodge Ridge Road said he got off a lift and believed he traveled out of bounds and off trail.

3:13 p.m., Chinese Camp — A person on Red Hills Road said she woke up to someone running around her house screaming “we are going to rape you.”

3:17 p.m., Columbia — A person on Calle Quartz Road heard a boom and then saw black smoke coming from a trailer.

10:00 p.m., Columbia — A person on Glory Gulch Road said someone violated a restraining order by installing speed bumps in front of her residence.

SUNDAY

8:34 a.m., Mi Wuk Village — A man stopped his vehicle in the middle of Highway 108 to install chains.

1:05 p.m., Jamestown — A person on Preston Lane was concerned about homeless people who moved into a field behind their home and started a warming fire.

3:22 p.m., Sonora — A person on Mono Way witnessed an older man hitting and calling names to a special needs boy.

9:51 p.m., Sonora — A person at a Mono Way laundromat said “shady people” were in the business and stole all his clothes out of the washer.

11:31 p.m., Twain Harte — A person on Confidence Road was hit in the face and verbally assaulted.

5:05 p.m., Sonora — Matthew Edward McCollum, 37, of the 500 block of Stetson Drive, Oakdale, was booked following an arrest on Stockton Road.

1:53 a.m., Jamestown — Ricardo Amaral, 20, of the 8800 block of Montezuma Road, was booked following an arrest on Highway 49.

2:36 a.m., Jamestown — Stephen Anthony Krieg, 27, of the first block of East Cowan Street, Sonora, was booked following an arrest on Highway 49.

10:35 a.m., Sonora — Jeffery Lynn Little, 65, of Sugar Pine, was booked following an arrest on the 100 block of Old Wards Ferry Road.

4:26 a.m., Columbia — James Allen Cotner, 53, of the 500 block of Mount Hood Court, Modesto, was booked on suspicion of burglary, criminal conspiracy, vandalism, committing a felony while out on bail, possession of a controlled substance for sale, transporting a controlled substance and receiving known stolen property following an arrest on Springfield Road.

SUNDAY

3:52 a.m., Sonora — Kevin Jermaine Beard Sr., 39, of the 3000 block of Nicole Street, Stockton, was booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale, transporting a controlled substance and misdemeanor charges possession of a controlled substance paraphernalia and driving without a license following an arrest on Highway 108.

3:52 a.m., Sonora — Erica Sysouda Synonarath, 26, of the first block of West 6th Street, Stockton, was booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale, transporting a controlled substance and misdemeanor charges possession of a controlled substance paraphernalia following an arrest on Highway 108.

4:11 a.m., Sonora — Tyler Hawk Wayne Osborne, 23, of the 12700 block of Chukar Circle, was booked on suspicion of felony vandalism and taking a vehicle without the owner's consent following an arrest on Sanguinetti Road.

8:32 p.m., Valley Springs — People were involved in a fight on Gold Dust Drive.

10:27 p.m., Copperopolis — A suspicious person was seen on Little John Road.
