The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

THURSDAY
10:18 a.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — A patient at a Fairview Lane property was aggressive while looking for a doctor.

10:22 a.m., suspicious circumstances — Someone went into a South Washington Street business and lit a chair on fire.

3:26 p.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — A man opened doors to businesses on Mono Way, yelled inside, then walked away.

8:58 p.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — A white lifted diesel pickup truck revved its engine and honked on South Washington Street.

8:53 p.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — A man was in a parking lot of a Greenley Road hospital screaming and yelling after throwing objects at employees.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

7:27 a.m., Jamestown — A person on Ninth Avenue acted strange, said someone wrote on their vehicle and said they broke their keys, barring access to their house.

9:08 a.m., Jamestown — A young woman walked on Willow Street and Fifth Avenue and was talking to herself.

11:31 a.m., Tuolumne — A parent came to a Tuolumne Road school because they returned home from a work trip and found their house “trashed” by a party a juvenile had.

5:30 p.m., Columbia — Kenneth Michael Venturi, 66, of the 23100 block of Gold Springs Drive, was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence and hit and run following an arrest on the 23000 block of Gold Springs Drive.

12:06 a.m., San Andreas — Someone shoplifted from a West Saint Charles Street property.

8:43 a.m., Angels Camp — A storage container was broken into on Gun Club Road.

12:15 p.m., San Andreas — A garage door was damaged on Miller Court.

9:30 p.m., Valley Springs — People in a suspicious vehicle were determined to be people waiting for AAA.

9:59 p.m., Angels Camp — A claim that a burglary was occuring on Gun Club Road was determined to be unfounded.

2:23 p.m., Copperopolis —Ronald Douglas Russell, 62, of the 900 block of Reeds Turnpike, was booked on suspicion of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14, oral copulation of a victim under 10 years of age, attempt to prevent or dissuade a witness from testifying, contacting minor with intenr for sex, indecent exposure and annoying a child under the age of 18 following an arrest on the 3500 block of Spangler Road.

11:00 p.m., West Point — John Berkeley Westfall, 46, of the 200 block of Pine Cone Way, was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon following an arrest on the 200 block of Pine Cone Way.
