The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

9:11 a.m., lost, found property — A wallet found in a gutter near an service station on Highway 49 was turned in to officers.

9:59 a.m., theft — Two chainsaws were stolen off a rooftop rack on a vehicle parked at a Sanguinetti Road parking lot.

10:53 a.m., theft — Three young men left a Sanguinetti Road business without paying for sandwiches.

11:50 a.m., threats — A North Washington Street law office said the brother of a client “may come in the office today and may cause problems.”

4:23 p.m., miscellaneous harassment — A woman said someone threatened her son at a North Washington Street business over money he believes he is owed.

4:56 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A caller said three man and a woman sat in the stairwell of a North Washington Street parking structure and used drugs.

5:14p.m., trespass/loiter — A man and woman who previously were asked to leave a South Green Street business returned and stood near the front door.

5:23 p.m., theft — A man wearing a black sweatshirt, black windbreaker and black-and-white shoes took a chainsaw bar from a South Washington Street business.

5:59 p.m., fraudulent activities — A woman used a stolen credit card to rent a room at a South Green Street business.

7:29 p.m., lost, found property — A dark blue backpack left in front of a South Washington Street business was turned in to the police department.

8:43 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man wearing a sweatshirt and shorts swung clothing at passing cars while standing on the white line on Stockton Road.

8:56 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman wearing a blue jacket stood in the middle of Stockton Road.

12:20 a.m., LaGrange — People broke into a house on Arbolada Drive through the front door.

6:51 a.m., Twain Harte — Someone was screaming in front of a store on Tiffeni Drive.

7:28 a.m., Mi Wuk Village — A peacock walked along Highway 108.

8:06 a.m., Sonora — A baby on Gibbs Drive called 911.

10:13 a.m., Sonora — A man refused to leave a residence on Roselyn Lane and threatened the resident.

11:20 a.m., Strawberry — A vehicle was flipped on Highway 108.

11:21 a.m., Sonora — A house on Wards Ferry Road flooded.

3:17 p.m., Sonora — A pit bull dragging a broken chain killed a cat on Phoenix Lake Road

4:35 p.m., Tuolumne — Someone passed two counterfeit $100 bills at a club on Bay Avenue.

5:36 p.m., New Melones — Eight aluminum signs were missing at New Melones Lake.

5:30 p.m., Sonora — Joseph John Rizzuto, 22, 16000 block Columbia River Road, was booked on suspicion of grand theft after an arrest on Restano Way.

5:50 p.m., Jamestown — Cody James Weeks, 40, 800 block Norstrand, Modesto, was booked on suspicion of transporting/selling a controlled substance after an arrest on Fifth Avenue.

12:41 a.m., Copperopolis — People were checking garbage cans on Little John Road.

10:17 a.m., Angels Camp — A suspicious person reported to be on North Main Street was arrested.

8:01 p.m., Valley Springs — Indecent exposure was reported on McAtee Street.
