The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY
7:15 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A vehicle was left running and unattended in a South Washington Street parking lot, but it was determined to belong to a security guard watching PG&E trucks.

8:42 a.m., vandalism, property damage — A vehicle was keyed and its tire was flattened while it was parked on North Green Street. The owner suspected one of her ex’s daughters.

1:16 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man on South Washington Street used his hand to make shooting gestures at passersby.

7:50 p.m., traffic accidents — A vehicle on Snell Street did donuts before falling onto its side.

9:13 p.m., trespass/loiter — A person heard people moving and crashing things in the upstairs of a South Stewart Street residence that should have been vacant.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

12:11 a.m., Twain Harte — A person on Joaquin Gully Road found a loaded syringe filled with drugs and wanted a deputy to remove it.

12:31 p.m., Columbia — A Sawmill Flat Road resident returned home and found drug paraphernalia in the house and her grandmother’s jewelry missing.

5:30 p.m., Jamestown — Two 8-year-old girls saw four teenage boys break the back window to a car parked on Calamity Jane Drive, climb through the back, then drive off.
9:34 p.m., Jamestown — A person on Main Street heard four car alarms go off between Main Street and Willow Street over a 10-minute period.

2:24 p.m., Jamestown — Shane Tad Doerkson, 48, of the 2400 block of 6th Street, Hughson, was booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale and misdemeanor charges possession of a controlled substance paraphernalia and driving on a license suspended for DUI following an arrest on the 18300 block of Highway 108.

2:54 p.m., Sonora — Jack Donald Martin, 37, transient, was booked on suspicion of vehicle theft following an arrest on Lower Sunset Drive.


CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

12:18 a.m., Copperopolis — A person on Morado Court heard the sound of a person opening a gate.

3:44 a.m., San Andreas — An unknown person was seen on a Saint Andrews Way property and was trespassed by deputies.

8:57 a.m., Valley Springs — A vehicle window was broken on Mittelman Court.

10:17 a.m., Valley Springs — A vehicle on New Hogan Parkway was vandalized and burglarized.

12:37 p.m., Burson — Money and jewelry were stolen from a Breaker Way property.

2:10 p.m., Valley Springs — Joey Chavez Maldonado, 36, of the 200 block of Cedar Street, was booked on suspicion of willful cruelty to a child causing injury or death following an arrest at his home.
