The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

THURSDAY
7:30 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A girl on North Washington Street received a “disturbing text.”

7:46 a.m., hazardous situation — Someone complained that a truck unloading at a South Washington Street business was blocking traffic.

9:55 p.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — A man threw something at a woman during an argument on South Washington Street, and when someone called the police, the man ran away with “tumbleweeds” in his hands.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

7:15 a.m., Big Oak Flat — A large tree and multiple small trees fell down on Corcoran Gray Road.

10:48 a.m., Long Barn — A man with a tattoo on his face stumbled around a market on Highway 108 talking to himself and carrying a bottle of alcohol.

6 p.m., Sonora — A woman on Wasatch Mountain Drive said a tree went through her house and power lines in the area were down.

9:33 p.m., Jamestown — A woman on Fourth Avenue said her roommate had a friend over but they were screaming and fighting in the other room.

10:56 p.m., Columbia — A woman on Bald Mountain Road screamed “You're going to jail, dude!”

10:17 p.m., Soulsbyville — Robert Edward Lee, 45, of the 18500 block of Mono Pass, Twain Harte, was booked after an arrest on Soulsbyville Road.
10:48 p.m., Sonora — Richard Gerald Hanley, 30, of the 21500 block of Phoenix Lake Road, was booked after an arrest on Creekside Drive North.

5:53 p.m., Valley Springs — A vehicle was left at a Pine Street residence for three weeks but wasn’t there when someone went to retrieve it.
