The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY
11:04 a.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — A person on North Washington Street requested that protestors not encourage passing motorists to honk their horns.

11:05 a.m., unclassified — A person was unable to access the garden center of a Sanguinetti Road business because of a large blow up Christmas tree blocking the entrance.

11:33 a.m., unclassified — A woman refused to move 30 feet away from a hot dog stand on Mono Way while she was smoking a cigarette.

2:41 p.m., traffic accidents — A woman said she was stopped in traffic on South Washington and a woman walked into her vehicle.

10:47 p.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — A person at a South Washington Street bar believed that her boyfriend was going to be jumped by seven to eight men.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

2:58 a.m., Jamestown — A man was outside of a La Grange Road house shirtless and wearing jeans and repeatedly told a homeowner to “open the door, I don’t want to die.”

11:07 a.m., Chinese Camp — A vehicle crashed into a telephone poll on Highway 120, and both occupants of the vehicle got out of the vehicle and ran away.

3:31 p.m., Sonora — A person was seen behind a Tuolumne Road thrift store on the train tracks, holding a knife and yelling.

6:01 p.m., Jamestown — A big pile of debris was seen on fire on Chicken Ranch Road.

7:28 p.m., Jamestown — A person on Seco Street was swinging a baseball bat and hitting a light pole.

2:57 a.m., Sonora — Kristopher Paul Walters, 37, transient, was booked on suspicion of felony burglary following an arrest on Ponderosa Lane.

12:23 p.m., Sonora — Christine Kay Bright, 52, of the 14800 block of Bluebell Road, was booked on suspicion of felony probation violation and misdemeanor charges theft of person property, vandalism and receiving known stolen property following an arrest at his home.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

10:27 a.m., West Point — An unoccupied vehicle was parked on Centennial Mine Road after an apparent accident.

12:53 p.m., Copperopolis — A person on Copper Cove drive was involved in or witnessed a vehicle accident.

4:56 p.m., Railroad Flat — Firearms were discharged in the area of North Railroad Flat Road.

10:27 p.m., Copperopolis — A person on Highway 4 said a tree was in the roadway.

10:56 p.m., Arnold — A person on Meadowview Road heard things on their porch that were possible weather related.
