The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

7:53 a.m., theft — A pot and a plant were stolen from the front porch of a Morning Star Drive residence during the night.

1:13 p.m., lost, found property — An employee of a Stockton Road business found a hypodermic needle and human feces outside the building.

2:28 p.m., theft — A blonde woman stole from downtown businesses, including a blouse from a fashion store on South Washington Street.

6:58 p.m., suspicious circumstances — Two men at a Stockton Road business may have had a knife and a firearm in their possession.

7:22 p.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — A person on South Shepherd Street was intoxicated and caused a disturbance.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

1:28 a.m., Big Oak Flat — A fuel truck driver at a Highway 120 business said two people were refusing to let him deliver the fuel to the business.

11:52 a.m., Jamestown — A teacher at a Fifth Avenue school was told by a parent, “better watch your back” after the teacher asked them to move their car from a no parking zone.

6:24 p.m., Sonora — Emergency officials responded to the scene of a van leaking gas in the parking lot of a Mono Way business.

6:36 p.m., La Grange — A Los Nogales Road resident requested that a person that she allowed to stay in her house be removed from the home because he was gone all day when she gave him the car keys to go get cigarettes.

6:42 a.m., Sonora — Joshua Tyler Hobbs, 29, of the 20700 block of Phoenix Lake Road, was booked on suspicion of vehicle theft, receiving a stolen vehicle, felony probation violation, burglary and committing a felony while out on bail after an arrest on Highway 108.

10:04 p.m., Sonora — Yvette Marie Alvarado, 49, of the 500 block of North Eden Avenue, Sunnyvale, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury after an arrest on the 20300 block of Nikki Court.

7:21 a.m., Valley Springs — Gas was stolen from a Valley Vista Drive property.

11:18 a.m., Valley Springs —A person on Friedman Way reported a phone scam.

3:02 p.m., San Andreas — A person on Miller Court was cited on local warrants after an argument.

6:18 p.m., Vallecito — A disturbance was heard on Poag Road.

8:52 p.m., Copperopolis — A person on Stagecoach Road believed a firearm was discharged in the area.
