The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY
11:53 a.m., assault — A man in a vehicle outside a Mono Way bank spit in another person’s face.

2:53 p.m., lost, found property — An employee of an Old Wards Ferry Road business found a loaded magazine for a gun that a customer left behind.

3:26 p.m., animal complaints — A dog was left unattended in a Sanguinetti Road vehicle with only one window down slightly, but a community service officer determined that the dog was not in distress.

5:34 p.m., public intoxication — A man carrying car keys and a pizza told an employee of a Sanguinetti Road business that he was drunk and high before being cited for public intoxication.

6:15 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman on South Washington Street believed someone threw a beer bottle at her vehicle while she was driving.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

10:53 a.m., Sonora — A man in a Subaru pulled up to two women next to a broken down car on the side of Standard Road, accused them of doing drugs, took photos of them, then left.

4:33 p.m., Jamestown — A man in an old, broken down motorhome on Preston Lane threw items into the street.

4:47 p.m., Chinese Camp — A man on Highway 120 said there was a man lying inside a pontoon boat near the water for three days without moving.

8:38 p.m., Sonora — The person on Powell Ranch Road, who said they were the owner of a local business, received threatening calls from a former customer.
