The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

FRIDAY
8:21 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman appeared to be passed out in a vehicle parked on North Arbona Circle.

8:37 a.m., suspicious circumstances —A person on South Washington Street threw garbage from a commercial trash container onto the street.

4:45 p.m., theft — A man at a customer service counter at a Mono Way business refused to leave a store.

8:23 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A person was seen with a rope and a shovel near a fire hydrant on Lyons Bald Mountain Road.


SATURDAY

7:32 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A man loitered on the porch of a Morning Star Court residence before taking down decorative lights and using the hose.

5:23 p.m., animal complaints — A man and woman with a pit bull drank a large bottle of vodka in front of a Mono Way business.

7:37 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man was trapped inside a closed building on South Washington Street and said he was in there by accident.

10:37 p.m., theft — Two men ran out a fire exit door at a Sanguinetti Road business with unpaid merchandise.


SUNDAY

9:12 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman on South Washington Street walked in the street and yelled while swinging a bag around.

12:26 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A person on South Washington Street said an infant had been left unattended in a vehicle with only a cracked window and no air conditioning, but an officer determined that it was a doll.

2:23 p.m., any civil problem — A man on Stockton Road said someone intentionally slammed his vehicle with a shopping cart.

3:36 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man appeared to be bathing in a water fountain on South Washington Street for over an hour, but the man said he was just trying to cool down.

8:58 p.m., traffic accidents — A man dressed in all red walked into the side of a woman’s vehicle on Sanguinetti Road.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

12:02 p.m., Jamestown — A woman at a Main Street business said someone destroyed her patio furniture during the night.

1:56 p.m., Twain Harte — A person at a Middle Camp Road business said he was doing work with the company, but they refused to return a $6,500 part.

3:18 p.m., Columbia — A person on Parrotts Ferry Road was sprayed with a hose.

3:44 p.m., Sonora — A person on Highway 108 was seen on the side of the road with a “huge lighter” in their hands.

9:10 p.m., Tuolumne — Six to 10 kids threw rocks at a Willow Avenue House and hid in the bushes.


SATURDAY

8:55 a.m., Sonora — A dirt bike, helmet and baggie filled with something was left on an American River Drive property.

6:09 p.m., Sonora — A man on a small motorcycle drove on South Fork Road while shooting a gun in the air.

9:57 p.m., Groveland — A person yelled for help near Cottonwood Street.

10:12 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A loud party occured on Highway 108, and people were believed to be drinking excessively and going out into the highway.

10:48 p.m., Tuolumne — A woman cried in a bathroom on Tuolumne Road North and said she was assaulted.

5:36 a.m., Sonora — A half-naked man stacked things in front of a Yaney Avenue door and threw things around.

10:14 a.m., Sonora — A man threatened the owner of a Mono Way business when he was seen drinking and huffing something in the parking lot.

3:24 p.m., Jamestown —A person who was falling down drunk and unable to stand tried to hit someone on Peppermint Circle.

7:29 p.m., Chinese Camp — A man on Washington Street threatened to break a board over another person’s head and send his son after him.

9:07 p.m., Tuolumne — A man at a Carter Street residence was “acting crazy” and took off all the door knobs at his house.

5:04 p.m., Jamestown — Ralph Dye Jones, 59, of the 15700 block of Eden Road, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury, false imprisonment and misdemeanor charges obstructing a peace officer after an arrest at his home.

8:06 a.m., Valley Springs — Someone on Double Springs Road was seen waving a stick in the air.

9:26 a.m., Valley Springs — Cigarettes and sunglasses were stolen from a Valley Springs property.

2:59 p.m., West Point — A woman with no shoes at a Bald Mountain Road school asked people for rides.

9:34 p.m., Valley Springs — People at a Baldwin Street property continually revved their engines.

10:51 a.m., Arnold — An unknown and suspicious vehicle was parked in a Lakemont Drive neighborhood.

11:45 a.m., Angels Camp — A person with a crossbow on Whittle Road was directed to a proper hunting area.
