The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

THURSDAY
10:04 a.m., reckless driving — A man drove and swerved on Mono Way with the driver’s side door wide open and a woman who appeared to be passed out with her head against the window.

10:25 a.m., fraudulent activities — A woman was informed at a South Washington Street bank that seven of the checks she cashed were fraudulent.
12:14 p.m., hazardous situation — A woman on Stockton Road slammed on her brakes to avoid hitting two people who walked in front of her vehicle.

3:50 p.m., trespass/loiter — A person at a Summit Avenue pool believed someone trespassed into a community pool.

4:14 p.m., animal complaints — A black and white border collie ran around an area on West Bradford Street.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY
9:40 a.m., Sonora — A woman at a Beckwith Road property screamed for help because she believed her daughter was locked inside of her house.

9:49 a.m., Groveland — People returned to a Foote Street church and found someone sleeping in a pew.

11:05 a.m., Columbia — A person on Howser Lane believed their son was in a “meth psychosis” and attempted to cut off his tongue due to spiders he thought were there.

2:47 p.m., Jamestown — A man sat in a silver Durango at a Highway 108 gas station and attempted to sell watches and cell phones.

8:09 p.m., Columbia — A go-kart was seen driving on Parrotts Ferry Road.

7:18 p.m., San Andreas — Smoke came from a disabled vehicle on Mountain Ranch Road.

11:54 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — A man banged on the bedroom window of a woman living on Church Street.
