The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office has arrested three juveniles in connection with burglaries in Long Barn and Cold Spring after fingerprint evidence was evaluated by the Department of Justice.

The suspects were arrested before June 6, Sgt. Andrea Benson said, and included one male juvenile who stole a pickup truck from the area, as well as an additional male juvenile, and a female juvenile.

The juveniles looked for signs of unoccupied homes on Lassen Road and Old Mono Road and for residents who had a routine for leaving the property, the Sheriff’s Office said. The juveniles would enter through windows and stole items such video game systems, game camera, tools, clothing, and alcohol. Several of the homes were also vandalized with graffiti.

Some items stolen were returned to homeowners, the press release said.
